Will and Madeline met the only way people were meeting in 2020... Hinge! Will's profile had a nerdy fun fact that immediately drew Madeline in... Madeline's profile stated that she wanted to do something active on the first date... so Will asked Madeline to go axe throwing, of course! Will wanted to try something new and neither of us had gone before. Madeline remembers telling her friends "If I don't return from the date this random guy killed me with an axe!" Looking back, we both question why we decided to go axe throwing for a first date... but it must have gone well because Will asked Madeline at the end "Can I take you on a real dinner date sometime next week!"

Madeline knew that she wanted to be with Will after a few dates... it took Will a little bit longer to know. Will and Madeline were planning to spend Valentine's Day together but the Houston Freeze was expected to hit the night of the 14th. Will and Madeline decided to move up the Valentine's Day dinner a day earlier. Will made steak and lobster (Will is an amazing chef and only cooks the BEST food for Madeline) It was this night that Will asked Madeline to make it official and be his girlfriend.

Will and Madeline’s first trip together was to Fort Collins, CO. For those of y’all that do not know, Madeline attended Colorado State University (Go Rams) in Fort Collins and Will attended Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers) in Baton Rouge. Madeline showed Will around her college town and Will fell in love with FoCo and Colorado. Will and Madeline love to watch Football together and try and attend as many LSU and CSU football games as they can. Will specifically chose this weekend because CSU was playing Vanderbilt (a SEC school). Madeline showed Will what a non-SEC football game was like!! Madeline prefers SEC football games but will always have a special place in her heart for her CSU Rams.

Will and Madeline are each other’s number one fans. We have always strived to make each other a better person and always support the other in whatever they put their mind to. Will had always dreamed to run a marathon (this one is NOT on Madeline's bucket list). Will trained for months and Madeline coordinated creating signs and setting up friends and family along the route!

One of Will and Madeline's shared core values is family and friends. One of our favorite things to do is to host events and get all of our family and friends together. During crawfish season, Will and Madeline frequently host multiple crawfish boils. We are the perfect ying and yang for hosting! Will loves to cook so he is always the chef and Madeline loves to talk so she is always the one making sure everyone has drinks and is having fun!

Will and Madeline love to travel together. Will loves to use his project management background and enjoys planning the trips, while Madeline uses her extroverted personality and keeps Will going non-stop during the trips! Whether it is traveling in the United States to Florida, New York City, Colorado or out of the country to Mexico or Thailand, we always have the best time! We love to see new places, explore and create new memories with each other. We look forward to exploring more of the world with each other! First stop… Honeymoon in Bali!

Will had been planning to propose to Madeline for months... He planned out every detail to make sure it was the most perfect day for Madeline! Madeline had her suspicions of something being planned. Will was constantly on his phone and being very secretive. The day of, Will planned for us to do a staycation at the Marriot downtown. Madeline had a hair appointment (that Will did not expect it to take as long as it did) and was running a little late (which is very not like Madeline) which probably did not add any relief to the nerves Will already had. We got to the hotel and got ready for dinner. Madeline told Will she wanted to go see the Texas shaped pool sometime over the weekend, so Will suggested we go there before dinner. It was pretty cold outside and Madeline did not have a jacket but Will insisted that we walk around the pool. All of a sudden Will stopped and got down on one knee and asked Madeline to marry him and SHE SAID YES!
